On our eighth day in England we were able to play the Great Harwood Youth Ladies team, a team of girls from age 14 to 19. It was a beautiful, sunny day and we had a great time playing against the English girls as well as meeting and talking with them. The final score was 9-1 for Squamish, a great way to finish off the season and for some of the girls, 13 years of youth soccer. We finished the day by going to a local cricket club were we were given sandwiches tea and cakes and then went to a near by field to play some more, less intense, soccer. We were also able to meet local legend and Blackburn Rovers played, David Dunn, who is in a couple of the photos below.
